What’s Involved in the ISO-17025 Calibration Process for Data Loggers?

ISO-17025 is not just about the adjustment of settings but also a comprehensive process to ensure that every reading produced by your device is traceable to internationally recognized standards.

a)     Pre-calibration inspection

Before calibration can begin, the technician will inspect your data logger. It's to check for any possible visible damage, malfunctioning parts, or irregularity that could impact the data's accuracy. Any problem identified by the Data Logger Webshop will be either fixed or recorded to avoid influencing the calibration outcome.

b)     Establishing the calibration setting

Calibration requires a controlled environment to avoid external factors influencing the results. Temperature, humidity, and other environmental parameters are kept stable and within the required range.

c)     Testing and adjusting measurements

Actual SCS Calibration ISO-17025 will consist of measuring the readings taken by a data logger against a known, traceable standard reference accuracy. For example, a thermometer data logger calibration process puts this device into a controlled heating source; it compares against the readings on the reference thermometer.

d)     Documentation and traceability

Proper documentation of ISO-17025 calibration is not complete without providing a certificate showing the process, results, and traceability to recognized standards after testing and adjustments by the calibration lab. The data logger is subjected to a final check for its correct and consistent working before being returned to you.

ISO-17025 calibration by MESSmatik AG assures you that your data logger is working properly in the real world. You are either measuring critical temperatures or environmental data; with this process, you have confidence that your measurements are accurate and within the set industry standards.
